FreshTrack is a 1-week, self-initiated product learning experiment designed to apply structured product thinking while integrating AI-assisted workflows to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and documentation. This was not a startup launch or monetized product. It was a disciplined exploration focused on: - Translating a behavioral problem into a structured PRD - Practice hypothesis-driven feature prioritization - Experiment with AI-assisted prototyping to accelerate iteration cycles - Evaluate how AI can augment (not replace) product decision-making

I noticed that fresh produce and groceries often spoiled much faster, sometimes within just a few days.

Existing solutions fail because: manual logging is tedious, expiration tracking is inconsistent and reminders feel disconnected from real context.

I collaborated with an AI Product Strategist inside Lovable to structure my ideas, define MVP features, and generate a complete PRD, simulating a real-world product management workflow

FreshTrack followed a human-centered, AI-enhanced design process, blending user experience principles with product strategy and emerging AI tools.

My goal was not just to design an app, but to explore how artificial intelligence could support smarter, more sustainable food habits.

Understanding the Problem

I conducted informal interviews with busy parents, students, and zero-waste enthusiasts to uncover how they manage groceries and expiration dates. Four recurring pain points emerged:

Users don’t need another calorie tracker, they need an effortless way to see what’s fresh, what’s expiring, and what they can cook right now.
